HISTORY
SISWA (South India Soul Winners Association) was started in the year 1975 by Rev. Dr. M.Prakash with a burden to win India for Christ. Now it is an inter-denominatinal registered organisaton functioning from Madras. It has 340 workers in different parts of India, and few workers in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The target is to send 1000 missionaries and plant 1000 churches. To meet this growing demand and urgency, SISWA MISSION TRUST founded SOUL WINNERS BIBLE SEMINARY in 1988 in a rented building. Rev. Dr. M. Prakash took greater pains in establishing this seminary as a centre for providing missionary training to persons of all churches in India. From February 1993, we are having our own class room building, chapel and boy's dormitory.
SOUL WINNERS BIBLE SEMINARY is an all India based, grass-root level, full-fledged missionary training institute which is accredited by the international Asian Thelogical Association in the B.Th. level. The theme of our inter-denominational Seminary is 'SEND AND SPEND', which reveals the emphasis given to missions. Hence, field work is an integral part of the curriculum.
ASSOCIATION AND ACCREDITATION
THE SOUL WINNERS BIBLE SEMINARY is a member of the Association of Evangelical Theological Education in India (AETEI). Accreditation by the International Asia Theological Association (ATA) has been granted to B.Th. degree from 1993.
